The DALTROCANTO choir has been based in the city of Salerno (Italy) since 2001, thanks to the dedication of a group of people who, although not professional musicians, wanted to turn their passion for music into a goal of sharing and enjoyable commitment. Founded and directed by Maestro Patrizia Bruno, the group has participated in numerous concerts and performances since its inception.

As a result, the choir has been invited to perform on television programs that have been highly acclaimed by the press.

It has won various competitions and has participated in national and international choral events and gatherings.

Awards & distinctions

It won first prize at the ‘S. Alfonso Maria de’ Liguori’ international competition in Pagani and a special prize at the Mayfest in Caserta.

In 2015, at the ‘J. Brahms’ International Choral Competition in Wernigerode, Germany, it distinguished itself by winning 1st place in the Secular Polyphony category and 2nd place in the Pop/Jazz category.

In 2019, it performed at the Vatican for Pope Francis on the occasion of the 3rd International Meeting of Choirs at the Vatican.

In 2022, it won the award for best arrangement at the “Christmas Gospel Lights” Competition.
