International Choral Festival in Normandy 2027

In 2027, the International Choral Festival in Normandy offers you a truly exceptional edition.
As part of “2027, European Year of the Normans”, Choral Events and its partner Normands de Chœur invite French and international choirs to enjoy an extraordinary musical experience, blending choral encounters, discovery of Norman heritage, and concerts in prestigious venues.
A major highlight of this edition: the exceptional presence of Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo, a leading figure in contemporary choral music, performed by choirs from around the world.
He will participate in the project “Echoes of a Thousand Years”, an original creation for large choir and symphony orchestra bringing together singers and artists from several European countries.
The 2027 edition will be particularly marked by three exceptional events:
Friday, April 16, 2027 – Notre-Dame Cathedral of Rouen
A concert in one of France’s most emblematic Gothic monuments, offering choral voices an exceptional historical and acoustic setting, in the presence of Ola Gjeilo.
Saturday, April 17, 2027 – Zénith de Caen
A grand international concert bringing together several hundred choristers, a symphony orchestra, and an international artistic team, in the presence of Ola Gjeilo.
Sunday, April 18, 2027 – Lessay Abbey
A gala concert in a unique venue, featuring many festival choirs, for an absolutely exceptional finale.
Three venues, three atmospheres, and a particularly rare opportunity for participating choirs to live their passion at the heart of a major European musical event.
Beyond the concerts, Normandy offers an ideal setting for a cultural stay: Mont-Saint-Michel, the D-Day landing beaches, Caen, Bayeux, Rouen, and many historical sites can be integrated into your group’s tourist program.
The International Choral Festival in Normandy is organized by Choral Events, in partnership with the association Normands de Chœur, with the collaboration of local towns, communities, and cultural stakeholders.
