Vasto International Choral Festival
This Festival brings together international choirs and orchestras, as well as local ensembles, for concerts in towns across the region. The highlight of the Festival is the concert held in the magnificent Abbey of San Giovanni in Venere, in Fossacesia, overlooking the sea and offering a breathtaking panoramic view.
In 2023, the Festival welcomed the Belle Voci choir from Ireland as well as the Triglavske Rožce choir from Slovenia. Both choirs gave concerts in the towns of Vasto, Roseto degli Abruzzi and Orsogna. The concerts were shared with the Italian choirs: Coro Polifonico Histonium, Coro Ars Vocalis & Coro Polifonico La Figlia di Jorio.
In 2024, the Larnaca Progressive Movement Choir from Cyprus took part in the event and shared several concerts with the Italian choirs: Coro Polifonico Histonium, Coro Polifonico La Figlia di Jorio, Coro Ippolito Sabino Lanciano & Coro della Madonna delle Grazie. The final concert took place at the Abbey of San Giovanni in Venere, with more than 300 people attending this wonderful concert!
