International Choral Festival in Normandy 2024
Come and discover Normandy, with its varied landscapes and its rich architectural, cultural, historical, and environmental heritage, making it one of France’s most visited regions. It boasts a fascinating history, from the Vikings to the D-Day landings of June 1944.
The D-Day landings of June 6, 1944, were a decisive turning point in the Second World War. As early as the Dieppe Raid in 1942, the liberation of France and Europe began on the beaches of Normandy.
In 2024, Normandy will commemorate and celebrate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings and the Battle of Normandy. The entire region of Normandy will honor the memory of these events and of the men and women who came from all over the world to liberate us.
The Normandy Festival will be included in the program for this anniversary.
The Festival will be organized in partnership with the association NORMANDS DE CHOEURS, and with the collaboration of local towns and choirs.
NORMANDS DE CHOEURS will organize choral singing workshops in 2024 for Norman choristers, which will conclude with the production of several major concerts in the Normandy region.
