A young Belgian ensemble with multiple awards, Chamber Choir Flanders champions precise and expressive choral singing, with particular attention to Flemish repertoire.

Awards & distinctions

Chamber Choir Flanders was founded in 2021 for the World Choir Games held in Flanders. This mixed ensemble operates on a project basis and brings together passionate singers eager to take on artistic challenges and explore the choral repertoire with rigor, creativity, and energy.

At its first public appearance, the choir won its category in the Open Competition of the World Choir Games as well as the Euprint Prize for best performance of a Flemish choral work. It subsequently distinguished itself at the international festivals of Kerkrade and Genk, before earning two gold medals at the European Choir Games 2025, in sacred a cappella music and chamber choirs. Its programs give special prominence to Flemish composers and have already taken the ensemble to prestigious venues, including the Berlin Philharmonie.

THE CHOIR DIRECTOR: Jeroen Keymeulen

Jeroen Keymeulen earned three master’s degrees from the Lemmensinstituut in classical guitar, chamber music, and orchestral conducting. He furthered his choral conducting studies with international conductors and pedagogues, including André de Quadros, Lone Larsen, Hervé Niquet, Markus Utz, and Denis Rouger. Director of Chamber Choir Flanders and the Vokalis choir of Mechelen, he is also regularly invited as a member of international juries. Since 2019, he has directed Koor&Stem, the Flemish organization dedicated to amateur vocal practices.
