Mik’ados

Choir presentation
The Mik’ados choir is part of the Chanterie de Lyon, affiliated with the A Coeur Joie Movement. It is made up of young people aged 12 to 18 who wish to discover or continue choral singing after their experience in a Chanterie (ages 8–12) in the region.
These some forty young people, coming from all parts of Lyon, perform regularly at
joint concerts with the association’s various choirs. The choir has
notably taken part in the opening concerts of the Choralies in Vaison-la-Romaine.
Since 2015, the choir has had the opportunity to take part in many exchanges in France and abroad, and to participate in various festivals such as the Choralies and Europa Cantat.
It is a choir that prioritises, above all, the pleasure of singing.
THE CHOIR DIRECTOR: Sibylle Chassaigne
A music education and choral singing teacher, Sibylle Chassaigne teaches at a
school in the Lyon area.
As the energetic founder of the Mik’ados choir in 2004, within the Chanterie de Lyon, she has it take part in various concerts and exchanges with other choirs.
She is committed to welcoming any young person wishing to discover choral singing, with no selection criteria other than motivation, and prioritises, above all, the pleasure of singing.
She also sings with the vocal ensemble Alter Echo and Le choeur des femmes.
