Awards & distinctions

The C.re.do choir was founded in Garliava, in the Kaunas district, in the autumn of 2019. Its name plays on the musical syllables C, Re, Do, while evoking the faith its singers place in music and its ability to bring people together. Today, the group is one of the artistic ensembles of the Garliava Cultural Centre.

Its repertoire embraces several genres, from traditional and contemporary Lithuanian songs to international melodies. Since its creation, C.re.do has been an active participant in concerts, song festivals, and competitions in Lithuania and abroad. The choir won the Silver Voices competition in 2020, a first-class diploma at the Nemunėlio vingiai festival in 2021, a gold diploma at the Cantate Domino international sacred music competition in 2023, and a first prize at the Mūsų dainose festival-competition in 2024. Its energy, sense of community, and musical curiosity will accompany its visit to Provence for the 2026 Christmas concerts.
