New Generation Choir was founded in Girona almost three years ago. Made up of over 70 talented young people with a passion for music, the choir is characterized by its vitality and enthusiasm on stage. Keen to breathe new life into the local choir scene, it offers a modern and varied repertoire that allows us to rediscover songs in a surprising way, thanks to original and unique arrangements, under the guidance of its choirmaster Lluís Pérez Cansell.
In addition to their projects and concerts, the Choirs have also collaborated with renowned artists, and recorded the soundtrack to the advert for their country’s Christmas lottery.
THE CHOIR DIRECTOR: Lluís Pérez Cansell
Lluís Pérez Cansell, conductor, composer and arranger. Creator of the “One Generation Music” choir project in Girona.
Born in Granollers in 1992, he studied music at his hometown conservatory and, in 2010, began studying film music composition at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he graduated Cum Laude. The following year, he completed a Master’s degree in Sonology and Music Production at ESMUC.
He has created numerous arrangements for choirs, orchestras and musicals, specializing in a cappella music. His works include the entire discography of the vocal group In Crescendo.
