Sensus Musicus

“Sensus Musicus is an amateur chamber choir with a wide range of musical interests and experience. It performs a wide range of choral works, from oratorios to cantatas, from the Renaissance to the present day, as well as many other choral pieces from a variety of cultures and countries. As required, the singers are sometimes accompanied by a small instrumental ensemble.
Sensus Musicus’ most memorable events include :
– 1994 – Participation in the International Festival of Orthodox Sacred Music in Hajnówka
– 1995 – Gala concert of Orthodox sacred music at the closing of the Polish-German Ecumenical Summit in Darłowo
– February 2000 – Two-week UK tour with 12 concerts {including London, Cambridge, Bath and Wolverhampton}.
– December 2000 – Release of the album “Sensus Musicus – Kolędy” (Christmas Carols)
– June 2001 – Participation in the Bern International Festival of Sacred Music {Suisse} concerts in Geneva and Lausanne
– March 2003 – Release of the album “Sensus Musicus – INRI” {Choir music for Lent}.
– May 2004 – Concerts in southern Sweden
– May 2006 – Concerts in England {Bath and Cambridge}
– 2010 – Release of the album “Kaszebsczi Piestrzeń” (Kashubian Ring)
– 2011 – Concert in Vienna at the XXth Polish Days in Austria
– 2015 – Gold Diploma at the XXII National Festival of Songs on the Sea in Wejherowo
The conductor of the “Sensus Musicus” ensemble is Mr. Tadeusz Formela, a graduate of the University of Pomerania in Słupsk (1993) and of the Faculty of Choral Conducting at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk (1994).
