Skanderborg Girls Choir

The Skanderborg Girls Choir is made up of young women aged 16 to 22.

The choir was founded in 2001 by Alice Vestergaard.

Its repertoire is very diverse, ranging from traditional Danish songs to major classical works. It also explores different musical styles, from jazz to popular music.

 

Awards & distinctions

Since its creation, the Skanderborg Girls Choir has recorded four CDs

It has performed in numerous concerts both at home and abroad, and has taken part in international competitions such as the World Choir Games and the European Choir Games, where it has won several gold medals.

THE CHOIR DIRECTOR: Alice Vestergaard

The choir is led by a mother and her daughter: Alice Vestergaard, music teacher and choir conductor, who graduated from the Jutland Conservatory, Denmark, in 1989; and Freja Nørager, rhythmic singer and choir conductor, who graduated from the Jutland Conservatory, Denmark, in 2021.
