The Mate Asher choir was founded in 1982 by Mr Joseph Seifert and has grown over the years with new singers from across the region.

The choir has performed many times in concerts in local villages (kibbutzim), as well as on tours throughout the country and in Europe.

It offers a varied repertoire, including works written especially for it.

Over the years, several choir directors have succeeded one another, but for the past ten years the choir has been led with great talent by Dr Tommer Hesseg.
