Saint Mark’s Mastery

Choir presentation
Founded over 35 years ago by Nicolas Porte, the Saint-Marc Little Singers Choir has built a national and international reputation over the years. Numerous festivals, concerts, tours, and recordings have marked its journey. Among these is the film “Les Choristes”, to which they lent their voices.
Today, a new chapter is being written. The Choir continues its journey under a new identity: “LA MAÎTRISE SAINT-MARC – Les Choristes”, still under the direction of Nicolas Porte.
The integration of this renowned Choir is now open to all children, aged 8 to 18, who are drawn to and passionate about choral singing, from all public or private schools. The individualized artistic path allows each child to find their place and flourish.
THE CHOIR DIRECTOR: Nicolas Porte
Upon the choir’s creation, his teaching career was complemented by an international career as a choir conductor.
Nicolas Porte was made Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters, an honorary citizen of Rocamadour, and received the Medal of Music awarded by the Paris Lyon group, a medal recognizing his efforts to promote and develop choral singing.
With the choir, he is Étoile d’Or du Sénat (Golden Star of the Senate) for their actions in favor of the underprivileged.
He also received a Diamond Record (for the film Les Choristes) and a Platinum Record (for a CD of the most beautiful Christmas carols).
