Jakarta Youth Choir

Jakarta Youth Choir (JYC) is a youth choir from DKI Jakarta, established on August 30, 2015, and founded by Ponirin Ariadi Limbong as JYC’s Choir Director, together with Septo Adi Kristanto Simanjuntak, who is also a Choir Director and the President of JYC. Since its creation, JYC has been an organization supported by the Provincial Office of Youth and Sports of DKI Jakarta.
JYC’s presence in the choral movement is growing steadily, both in Indonesia and internationally. The choir successfully held its first concert, entitled “Don’t Stop Believing”, on September 23, 2017, followed by dozens of subsequent concerts.
THE CHOIR DIRECTOR: Septo Adi Kristanto Simanjuntak
Florian DEVEDEUX, a tenured music teacher, conducts the choir.
He leads four sections, or even five depending on the repertoire. The pieces, selected according to current events, are not necessarily a reflection of musical news, but rather focus on polyphonic work.
