Dubai Camerata Singers

The Dubai Camerata Singers is an award-winning vocal ensemble composed of professionals based in Dubai. Originally, the ensemble consisted of 10 singers from Philippine choirs. Since its founding in 2017, the group has grown, becoming a multinational choir by welcoming 32 choristers from the Philippines, France, Chile, India, and Syria.

Under the musical direction of multi-award-winning composer/conductor Arne Sunico Lubasan, the Dubai Camerata Singers continue to thrive on the global music scene with their varied repertoire and performances.

The vocal ensemble has set itself the mission of promoting arts and culture while sharing beautiful musical emotions with audiences through choral singing, as well as supporting private and public institutions in their initiatives for social causes and charitable events.

Awards & distinctions

  • The Dubai Camerata Singers won First Prize at Choirfest Middle East 2017 and 2019 in Dubai, beating more than 13 choirs from the United Arab Emirates and the Middle East.
  • The choir won the Best Performance award at the Short + Sweet Voices choral competition in Dubai, beating more than 150 other participants. The group impressed the judges with their moving interpretation of Izar Ederrak by Josu Elberdin and Kruhay by Benny Castillon during the qualifications.
  • The choir recently organized a concert with the Emirates Symphony Community Orchestra where it performed one of the most iconic choral works of sacred music, Vivaldi’s Gloria, at Christ Church Jebel Ali on November 29, 2019.
  • The Dubai Camerata Singers will perform in February 2020 on the world stage of the Dubai Opera for the 50th anniversary of Holy Trinity Church.
