Cerebellia Choir

A group of choristers during an international festival.

Choir presentation

Cerebellia is the name we chose in 2017 for the revival of our choir, which was founded in 1986. While delving into our village’s history, we discovered that it was crossed by a Roman road called CEREBELLIACA; we found this name so melodic that we adopted a slightly shortened version of it.

The choir consists of approximately 70 adults from Montoison and the surrounding villages. The repertoire features contemporary music, world songs, and operetta, blending emotion and humor. For 2022, in preparation for a trip in April, we are preparing two songs in Italian.

Our life as choristers is shared between concerts, social gatherings, and travels, always for the joy of singing and sharing pleasant moments while forgetting the stresses of daily life—like a form of therapy—surrounded by a team that is always in good spirits.

THE CHOIR DIRECTOR: Florian Devedeux

Florian Devedeux, a senior music professor, conducts the choir.

He manages four sections, or even five depending on the piece. These songs, chosen based on current events, do not necessarily reflect musical trends but are rather a study in polyphony.

Direction: Florian Devedeux

France

Montoison (26 – Drôme)
