The choir is made up of a small group of charming singers who are highly motivated and passionate about music.

The choir’s name Triglavske rož’ce means the flowers of Triglav, Triglav being Slovenia’s highest mountain. In other words, the girls bloom like flowers and are as tall as Triglav.

It all began with a desire, a project, to go beyond a repertoire of sacred songs for mass, by adding traditional Slovenian folk music.

That’s how a group of young girls came together, first in their own village, then increasingly throughout the region.

The choir was founded in 2010 and joined the Bohinj cultural association. The choristers have changed over the years, but the desire and strong will of the group has persisted.

This year, the choir is celebrating its 13th anniversary and its fifth festival outside Slovenia.

The group currently has 13 members, aged between 25 and 50. Its conductor, Urška Odar, is highly experienced, having sung in the choir from its very beginnings, for the first 10 years, and is joining the group again for this festival.

The choir mainly takes part in local events for various occasions, but it also performs at festivals abroad.
The choir has sung in Belgrade (Serbia) at the Music and Dance Festival, and in Bologna, Praga, Budapest and Garmisch Partenkirchen at festivals organised by Music&Friends.

Each year, they prepare a Christmas concert for humanitarian purposes.

Their programme is made up of different styles of music.

It includes traditional Slovenian music and folklore, as well as gospel, world pop and hit songs.
