Founded in October 1988, Anonymos has its headquarters in Ecuvillens, in the canton of Friborg in Switzerland.
The choir offers a varied repertoire, from popular songs to negro spirituals, but also great classical works such as the
the Te Deum by Charpentier, the Liebeslieder Walzer by Brahms, La Cantus Missae by Rheinberger, the Petite Messe Solennelle by Rossini or the Requiem by Michael Haydn, by Mozart, by Fauré as well as in 2018 by Brahms.
Since its creation, the choir has won numerous awards in international meetings:
1991 – Charming choir meetings: Audience Prize and 2nd Jury Prize
1999 – Competition of the Swiss Union of Choirs: 4th Prize with the mention “Excellent” in the Elite Choir category
2003 – Montreux International Competition: Casino Prize for the imposed work and 3rd prize in the general competition with the mention “Excellent ‘
2010 – TSR Popular Music Trophy
2011 – Friborg choral competition: City Prize with the “Excellent” menstion
2013 – Swiss choir competition: 4th Prize with the mention “Excellent” in the Elite Choir category
The choir gave concerts in Hungary and France, in Vendée, in Alsace and in 2017 in Paris with the city chamber choir.
