Hangzhou Aiyue Tianshi Choir

Founded in 1999 by current artistic director Hong Yan and conductor Zhou Weiping, Hangzhou Aiyue Tianshi Choir is now one of the best children’s choral groups in China. The chorus was awarded the “Top Ten Choirs” by Zhejiang Provincial Choral Union and China Musicians Association in 2009. It was also named as “National Outstanding Choir” by China Choral Association in 2013.

Over the past 20 years, the chorus has organized more than 200 concerts and has won many prizes both in national and international choral competitions. Besides leaving footprints all over the world, the choir has also hosted a lot of well known choral groups from different countries. These friendly exchanges and cooperative performances have been making us more aspirant and progressive.

Some of our achievements:

◆ Gold Medal at the 3rd International Choir Olympics in Bremen in 2004

◆ The highest prize “Braun Award” at the First National Youth Choral Festival in 2006

◆ Champion of category folklore at the 8th Golden Gate International Youth Chorus Festival in the United States in 2009

◆ Champion of category children at the 28th Festival International de Musica de Cantonigros in Spain in 2010

◆Champion of category children at the 15th Kathaumixw International Choir Competition in Canada in 2012

◆ Gold Medal of both categories children and folklore at the 8th Brahms International Chorus Festival in Germany in 2013

◆ Gold Award of category children at the 7th World Peace Chorus Festival in Vienna in 2016

◆ Performing on behalf of Chinese children at G20 Hangzhou Summit in 2016

◆ Champion of category children at the 7th Bali International Choral Festival in 2018

◆ Champion of category children at the 11th Johannes Brahms Choir Competition in 2019

◆  Champion of category children at Leonardo Da Vinci International Choral Festival in 2019
