Brunnsbo Musikklasser

Brunnsbo Musikklasser was founded 1985. It is an ordinary school with a music education for 180 children from year four to nine who gather four times a week to develop their skills in choir singing.

Over the years the choir has been touring many countries in Europe and even China. In may 2023 Brunnsbo Musikklasser competed in Vox Lucensis in Lucca and became category winner in the youth choir category and they received a golden diploma VI in the Sacred music category.

The choir is often invited to sing at established venues, such as the Gothenburg Opera, concert halls, and even for the King and the Queen in the Swedish House of Parlament. In December 2022 Brunnsbo Musikklasser was invited to perform in the traditional Santa Lucia production in the Swedish Television. The conductor of the choir is Kicki Rosén Bejstam.

Kicki Rosén Bejstam, Director

Kicki Rosén Bejstam is Artistic Director of Brunnsbo Music Classes in Gothenburg, Sweden, which often collaborates with the Concert Hall, Gothenburg Wind Orcestra and the Gothenburg Opera. She is director of Brunnsbo Music Classes Girl’s Choir, and tours a lot around the world. She holds a MFA in Music Education from the Örebro University, and has a Master degree in choral conducting from the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg. Kicki is also a freelance conductor and singer. She sings first soprano in Vocal Art Ensemble of Sweden. She is a former president of the youth choral association UNGiKÖR vast, a Swedish representative of INTERKULTUR and a part of the artistic Committee for European Choir Games, Gothenburg 2019.
