Mixed vocal sextet Permoník
Competition and International Choral Festival in Provence 2025
The Permoník mixed vocal sextet was formed completely spontaneously in 2017. Its members have attended all departments of the Permoník Choral Studio and have many years of experience working in various chamber associations at the Bedřich Smetana Elementary School of Art in Karviná. The sextet consists of Zuzana Nerovská (soprano), Johana Juríková (mezzo-soprano), Daniela Kučerová (mezzo-soprano), Hana Gajdaczová (alto), Ondřej Kočí (tenor) and Martin Kučera (baritone). Among them are teachers, music producers, journalists and programmers.
The sextet regularly took part in the Stonavská Barborka International Ensemble Singing Competition, where it placed among the first places and once even won the main prize in the amateur category. In 2018, it also won 1st place in the central round of the ZUŠ competitions in solo and chamber singing. The sextet’s repertoire includes compositions by international and national composers, from the 17th century to the present day. These include works by Claudio Monteverdi, Orlando Gibbons, Sergej Rachmaninov, Andrzej Koszewski, Ola Gjeilo, Bob Chilcott, Jan Jirásek and Otmar Mácha.
In 2018, the Mixed Vocal Sextet performed at the St Wenceslas Music Festival and in 2019 at the Ostrava Contemporary Music Festival. In January 2020, the members were on a concert tour in Constance, Germany. In 2023, the sextet recorded Silesian carols by Otmar Mácha, arranged by Jan Vičar, which were released on the CD Christmas with Permoník. In June 2024, the Mixed Vocal Sextet became the absolute winner of the Olomouc Song Festival competition in the vocal ensemble category. They regularly perform at traditional Christmas concerts, openings and occasional performances throughout the year.
