An internationally recognized British conductor, Tori Longdon<\/strong> is Principal Chorus Director of the Covent Garden Chorus<\/strong> and Associate Chorus Director of the London Philharmonic Choir<\/strong>. An educator, adjudicator, and speaker, she regularly appears at festivals and masterclasses worldwide. In 2023, she notably prepared eighteen British choirs for King Charles III’s Coronation Concert.<\/p>\n

A conductor, composer, and artistic director based in Istanbul, Masis Aram G\u00f6zbek<\/strong> is a leading figure of the new Turkish choral generation. He is the founder and artistic director of the Bo\u011fazi\u00e7i Jazz Choir, the Bo\u011fazi\u00e7i Youth Choir, and the MAGMA Choirs<\/strong>. He then took over the direction of the B\u00dcMK Jazz Choir, the ensemble that would become the Bo\u011fazi\u00e7i Jazz Choir. At the same time, he trained in composition and conducting: after an initial university degree in mathematics, he joined the Department of Music and Performing Arts at Y\u0131ld\u0131z Technical University, then the State Conservatory of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University<\/strong> for composition and orchestral conducting. His training led him to work with figures such as T\u00f5nu Kaljuste, D\u00e9nes Szab\u00f3, Volker Hempfling, Johannes Prinz, and Georg Gr\u00fcn<\/strong> for conducting, as well as P\u00e4r Lindgren, Richard Ayres, and David Lang<\/strong> for composition. With his ensembles, Masis Aram G\u00f6zbek has won numerous international awards. After a dual scientific and musical education, St\u00e9phan Nicolay earned an engineering degree from Polytech Nice<\/strong>, alongside his studies at the Cannes and Nice conservatories, an organ prize, and a degree in musicology. He began his professional career in the aerospace industry before choosing to devote himself entirely to music. He then obtained the State Diploma (Dipl\u00f4me d\u2019\u00c9tat) in vocal ensemble conducting at the Cefedem in Lyon and became a laureate of several competitions, both as an organist and as a composer. His eclecticism quickly became a hallmark of his career: he works equally on major works for choir and orchestra as well as early music, contemporary improvisation, Soundpainting, and contemporary popular music. He notably conducts works such as Verdi’s Requiem<\/em>, Haydn’s Stabat Mater<\/em>, and Gounod’s Mors et Vita<\/em>, and regularly serves as a guest conductor, chorus master, or artistic project designer.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Born in Chongqing, China, Ai Wu<\/strong> is a lyric artist, choral conductor, and educator. Trained at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and then at the \u00c9cole Normale de Musique de Paris, she has developed a career between France and China for many years. Today, she teaches classical singing and conducts several ensembles at the Brest Conservatory.<\/strong><\/p>\n

She then continued her training in France and obtained the Concertist Diploma from the \u00c9cole Normale de Musique de Paris. A laureate of several international competitions in the Opera and Baroque categories, she has developed a wide lyric repertoire and has notably performed Bizet’s Carmen, Cherubino in The Marriage of Figaro<\/em>, Dorabella in Cos\u00ec fan tutte<\/em>, Angelina in La Cenerentola<\/em>, Rosina in The Barber of Seville<\/em>, Suzuki in Madama Butterfly<\/em>, and the Mother in Hansel and Gretel<\/em>. Deeply committed to mentorship and intercultural exchange, in 2018 she organized the first Franco-Chinese festival in L\u2019Isle-Adam, blending music and painting. She continues this approach today in Brest: as a professor of classical singing at the Conservatory, she also directs the adult choirs Terpsichore and R\u00e9sonance<\/strong>, with which she explores very diverse repertoires. A baritone, choral conductor, and orchestra conductor, Luc Coadou<\/strong> has led a career for several decades where performance, conducting, pedagogy, and musicological research meet. A recognized specialist in early music repertoires, he is the musical director and founding member of the professional ensemble Les Voix Anim\u00e9es<\/strong>. Luc Coadou discovered singing early on within the Dunkirk choir school Les Rossignolets<\/em>. He continued his vocal studies in Lille before perfecting his skills with Rachel Yakar and Ren\u00e9 Jacobs<\/strong> at the Studio Versailles-Op\u00e9ra. His career as a performer then led him to collaborate with some of the most renowned ensembles on the French and European scene, including La Chapelle Royale, Les Arts Florissants, Les Musiciens du Louvre, Les Talens Lyriques, Le Parlement de Musique, La Grande \u00c9curie et la Chambre du Roy<\/strong>, and Le Concert Spirituel<\/strong>. From medieval music to contemporary creation, he has developed a particularly vast repertoire, while maintaining a predilection for early music. This passion is also reflected in his research work, notably dedicated to lyric theater during the French Revolution. As a conductor, Luc Coadou tackles Monteverdi’s Vespro della Beata Vergine<\/em>, Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas<\/em>, Handel’s Messiah<\/em>, and Mozart’s Requiem<\/em> and Mass in C minor<\/em>, as well as numerous 19th-century lyric works. He is also deeply committed to teaching: after ten years of teaching at the Caen Conservatory, he has taught since 2000 at the Conservatoire Toulon Provence M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e<\/strong> and regularly leads masterclasses. His work for over thirty years has largely contributed to the international influence of Indonesian choirs.<\/p>\n

Tommyanto Kandisaputra founded the Studio Cantorum Bandung Choir & Orchestra<\/strong> in 1991, serving as its artistic and musical director. From the beginning, his work has been driven by a desire to develop choral practice in Indonesia, both artistically and pedagogically. In July 2000, he created the Bandung Choral Society<\/strong>, with the stated ambition of strengthening both the quality and the number of choral ensembles in his country. The organization has gradually developed a vast network of activities: concerts, workshops, seminars, choral camps, masterclasses, symposiums, competitions, and training programs. Tommyanto Kandisaputra also became the artistic director of the Bali International Choir Festival<\/strong>, which has established itself as one of the important events on the choral scene in Southeast Asia. Through these various projects, he supports singers, conductors, and teachers and contributes to creating lasting bridges between Indonesian choral communities and the international scene.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

His activity extends far beyond the borders of Indonesia. Tommyanto Kandisaputra is regularly invited as an adjudicator, conductor, clinician, lecturer, and artistic advisor<\/strong> at international festivals and competitions. A member of the World Choir Council since 2006 and a representative of INTERKULTUR in Indonesia, he has notably helped many Indonesian ensembles access international competitions and stages. In 2014, he represented his country in the One Asia Cultural Ambassador<\/strong> program in South Korea. Two years later, he was invited to conduct the Taipei Philharmonic Youth Choir at the National Concert Hall in Taipei and spoke at the Asian Pacific Children Choir Assembly in Okinawa. He has also been invited as a speaker, jury member, or contributor to various events in South Korea, Europe, and elsewhere in Asia. Beyond competitions, his commitment is based on a strong conviction: that training, cultural exchange, and collective singing can contribute lastingly to the development of communities.<\/p>\n

He is the founder and director of the Vocal Blue Trains<\/strong>, a professional ensemble based in Florence whose universe combines gospel, polyphony, pop, electronic, and ambient influences.<\/p>\n

Passionate about music from a young age, Alessandro Gerini began by studying piano before deepening his knowledge of music theory and harmony. His career as a singer and vocal educator then led him to explore several methods and aesthetics, from classical technique to Speech Level Singing<\/strong>, Estill Voice Training<\/strong>, and the PROEL method. A graduate in Modern Music History, with work focusing notably on diction, he develops a particularly diverse activity as a singer, teacher, choral director, and vocal coach. He has notably served as a tutor for the pop-rock exams at Trinity College London<\/strong> and as a professor of music and choral singing at Lorenzo de\u2019 Medici \u2013 The Italian International Institute. This multiplicity of experiences feeds into a choral approach where individual vocal technique is placed at the service of the collective sound, with particular attention to contemporary repertoires and the bridges between choral traditions and popular cultures.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Alessandro Gerini is best known as the founder and director of the Vocal Blue Trains<\/strong>, an ensemble bringing together singers and musicians in Florence. Under his direction, the group has developed a unique identity blending gospel, traditional polyphony, pop, electronic, and ambient music. The Vocal Blue Trains have given over a hundred concerts in Italy, Europe, and Asia<\/strong>, notably participating in events in Vienna, Prague, Jeju in South Korea, Rome, and the Pistoia Blues Festival. The ensemble has also distinguished itself through collaborations with artists such as Ultimo, Paul Phoenix<\/strong> (former member of the King\u2019s Singers), Gigi Proietti, Sergio Sylvestre<\/strong>, and the group Mod\u00e0. At the Moscow Sounds Festival, the Vocal Blue Trains received the award for Best Overall Performance<\/strong>, becoming the first foreign choir to be recognized in this way. Alessandro Gerini is also already familiar with the Choral Events universe, as the Vocal Blue Trains were invited to the 2025 edition of our International Choral Competition in Provence.<\/p>\n
