Choeur a Coeur

Chœur à Coeur is a popular town choir born in 2005. After perfoming for many years and having given multiple concerts of all kinds, the choir welcomes its new director in 2017. Under the direction of Mélanie Krebs, Chœur à Coeur and its 50 singers perform especially for local cultural events. Sometimes for concerts in collaboration with other musical companies or simply to support our region and move through a varied repertoire with a united and a motivated team.

Mélanie Krebs, Director

Following a maturity in music, Mélanie undertook a Bachelor in Music and Movement at the “Haute Ecole des Arts de Berne”, during which she added the practice of piano, percussion and song to her musical range. She went on with a Masters in music pedagogy at the Musik Akademie in Basel, where she studied choir conducting, singing, piano and movement.

She is currently a music theory teacher at the Neuchâtel Music Conservatory and a musician working in schools for schools in the canton of Neuchâtel. At the same time, Mélanie leads various artistic projects and has directed the Choir “Choeur à Coeur” since 2017.
